The Chain Micro-Dripper (“Spaghetti”)

 

This product is a recent development that allows self forming of both the dripper units and the drip line together simply by plugging one Chain Dripper into the other. Each Chain Dripper unit is 30cm long, with a male part having a labyrinth pattern on one end and a female socket on the other hand. The two main advantages of this method are: a.) Option for easy cleaning of any clogged dripper simply by plugging the male end out of the female socket.  b.) The system installation is faster – the work of assembling the clamp-on drippers is saved. The pictures below show one Chain Dripper in a close-up view and the plug-in assembly of several units to form a drip line.

The Chain Dripper can be used to form Gravity Drip Lines , or for forming Drip Rings around trees, as illustrated below

The Drip Ring can be used in pressure systems by hooking to the feed line via a

Mini Flow Regulator (MFR), as illustrated.

The MFR is basically a regulated mother dripper, available for a few pre-determined flow rates. For example, if a 2 L/hr MFR is used for a ring of 5 Chain Drippers, the flow will split to 400 CC for each.

This method allows the Drip Ring to grow with the tree!

More Chain Dripper units can be added to the ring according to the tree growth rate.
