The Super Disk structure is based on a unique pattern that form the

Micro-Passageways for the water flow: A close up picture of the unique ribs on the Super Disk face is shown below.

 

The Dirt is trapped in the ribs, as shown in the picture below: The smooth plastic face enables easy wash of the disks, thus the filter recovers to its initial performance.

All SDF Self-Clean products are recovered under a quick and water saving back-flush.

The superiority of SDF compared to other filter disks is based on the facts that:

· Other disks are designed with multiple radial grooves crossing each other, as illustrated on the right. Dirt is trapped inside the grooves.

· Ejection of the dirt stuck in other disks grooves is difficult and requires opening of the filter and even brushing.

· Other disks grooves are slotted to the depth of the disk and its mesh do not reach the micron level below 25 microns. SDF made it to 5 microns.

The Super Disks are designed in few diameters, each by a variety of color coded mesh grades that form a well defined passageways.

SDF water filters are made for a variety of applications. The SDF Rotary Regenerative filters that can be cleaned and regenerated without removing the disks out of the filter are made with fine mesh grade for home supply, medium mesh grade for irrigation systems and pre-filtration and with lower mesh grade for pumping from rivers and reservoirs.
